Oliver Segovia started Action Stack to tackle two problems he faced as an entrepreneur in Southeast Asia: the growing demand for tech talent and the lack of educational opportunities for people passionate about the innovation economy.

Oliver is the founder & CEO of AVA Online Group, an e-commerce company in Southeast Asia, and a Director of the Segovia Group, a 40-year old family investment group with interests in real estate, hospitality, and technology.

For four years, Oliver was based in Singapore where he worked with Procter & Gamble Asia. In a regional marketing strategy role, he spent possibly the most interesting year of his life: selling Whisper feminine care pads. No, he didn't have to test the product.

Oliver holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and co-authored "Passion & Purpose", published by Harvard Business Review Press. The book was positively reviewed by the Financial Times and the Washington Post, among others, and was selected to the 2012 JP Morgan Summer Reading List.  Oliver's story is a Harvard Business School case study for Professor William Kerr's course on Launching Global Ventures. He blogs at HBR.org and oliversegovia.com.
